The App works exactly the same as your peg board. Players are placed on the board and the App chooses the next game.

Games can be selected by Rank or Fairness.

Pause a player if they need a (comfort) break.

Why Use The App?

• No more dithering, the App chooses straight away, clubs report up to 30% more court utilisation.
• The App never "Skips" over a player because "I want to play with someone else", clubs report happier players overall.
• Fairer picking, players get a fair number of games or court time.

Court Manager Help

Open the configuration screen to set up your peg board.
First select the number of players per side, for instance for doubles select 2 players per side.
Enter the number of courts you use, these can be altered on the fly if you need to vary court numbers during a session.
Choose whether the top player is the 'picker', if this is ticked the top player is always picked to play, unless they have expressed a preference for a particular game type and it is not possible for the system to pick that game.
Choose how many in the waiting list to pick from, this can stop new arrivals being picked immediately.

Then choose the options that suit you, if you select to record winners after a game the winning team will always be added above the losing team on the waiting list.
Ignoring Gender will will ignore game types and just pick any players. If you use gender you can choose to bias the game types most picked if required.

You can void a game at any time but you may wish to password protect this option as this can be a potential way for players to affect the games chosen.
Pausing a player allows them to take a break or to alter the way the games are picked, again you can choose to password protect this option.
Choosing to manually pick games will turn off the automatic game selection.
If you choose to use ranking then you will need to edit players' ranking in the Manage Players screen, ranking starts at 1 for the best players you can decide how many levels you'd like there is no limit.
The ranking options allow you to choose how strongly the ranking is taken into account when choosing games. If you choose ranking over fairness then some players will get less games as they may be skipped to create a better selection.
You can choose to add players during a session using the Add Player button and they will be automatically added to the database or you can add and edit players using the Manage Players button.
When Adding and Editing a player in the Manage Player screen you can set their gender if relevant, set their rank and set their game preference. B = Both ( no preference ), L = Levels Only, M = Mixed Only. The player will only be picked for those game types.
When you are ready, press Start Session. From then on each time you open the App a new session will start automatically with the settings you have chosen.
Once a session is running you can re-enter the config section to alter the settings, restart a session or End a Session.

Pressing Reset App will return the App to installation settings and you can re-configure from scratch.

The Court Screen

The court screen is split into your courts at the top and the waiting list at the bottom.
use the Add Player button to enter players onto the waiting list. If a player's name is not on the list then just type it in and select their gender and they will be automatically added. If you just want to pick off the list and stop the keyboard popping up each time just use the arrow on the left of the player name box.
once enough players have been added, and you are using auto pick, you will be asked to select the first game by pressing the Pick Game button.
the auto pick automatically selects a game based on the first person in the list, it picks a fair game for that person based on the players below them depending on how many games they have had and who they have already played with.
when a game is finished one of the players should press the finish button on their court, and if the option is selected chose the winners, the players are then added to the bottom of the list and the next game is automatically picked.
a player may also be paused at this point if they need a break or it is their last game to avoid them being re-picked for another game. If this is their last game then they need to be removed from the waiting list using the X button next to their name.
on some occasions auto pick may be paused to avoid the same games being re-picked, this is generally when there are the same number of players as courts. This allows the players to choose to wait for another court to come off before picking a new game.
At the bottom of the config screen are the stats for the current session.
